Next Event – Sharing the Weight at Beyond Limits!

Join us on Saturday, August 11th from 10a.m.-4p.m. for a Sharing the Weight volunteer event at Beyond Limits!

Sharing the Weight is a non-profit group based in Ottumwa, Iowa. The group’s organizer, Marci Prose, works with volunteers to create and distribute, for a small cost to help with shipping, weighted blankets for children with special needs. These blankets are stuffed with poly pellets and are typically valued at a cost of $100-$450.

By signing up, you are agreeing to volunteer to make these blankets.
This is a hands-on event. Roles will include cutting fabric, sewing, and weighing the poly pellets. You also have the option of making your own weighted blanket for your child – completely FREE!
As many volunteers as possible are welcome! Lunch will be provided!

Attendance is FREE, but you must RSVP to hold your space.
