Clinical Experience

Emily joined the Beyond Limits family in 2020 as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at Valdosta State University. She is certified nationally through the American Speech Language Association (ASHA) as well as holding her Georgia State License.

Emily has extensive experience working in the school system with students aged 3 through 22, as well as experience in working with geriatric patients in skilled nursing facilities and children in private practice and independent contracting work. Through Emily’s work in the skilled nursing facilities and school system, she realized her true passion lies in working with children and helping them develop life-long communication skills. She loves working with children to increase their skills in receptive and expressive language, pragmatics, articulation/intelligibility, voice and fluency. Emily truly feels that there is nothing more rewarding than being able to help a child develop and strengthen their communication and language skills in order for that child to effectively and efficiently communicate their wants, needs and thoughts to their family and friends.

Get to Know Emily

When Emily is not working, she loves spending time with her husband, son, family and friends doing outdoor activities as much as possible. Emily and her family love traveling, especially in their camper. She is an avid tennis player and loves to spend her free time doing anything active.
